Week Schedule

Week 1

Brace yourself for a spell-binding journey of authentic yoga teachings of Hatha Yoga, with references from the sacred Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The first week commences with traditional Hatha Yoga practices with a focus on the Pavana-Mukta-Asana Series that work on joint and bone agility and prepare the body to perform precise and advanced yoga poses. You will also gain an understanding of how to perform traditional Surya Namaskar more accurately.

During the Pranayama and Meditation classes, we focus on prana regulation while preparing your body and mind to connect with the inner-being to perform these techniques.

The ayurveda lessons focus on understanding the ayurveda way of life, superfood and healthy herbs, types of body constitution, etc.

From the very first day, we also start focusing on teaching methodology to make our students a skillful yoga teacher.

Week 2

The 2nd week marks the beginning of your journey as a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series, also known as Yoga Chikitisa. From Surya Namaskar to varied range of standing, sitting, prone and spine poses, the students will dive deeper into the Ashtanga tradition.
Enter the phase of becoming a Yoga Teacher and attain the state of sthira-sukhamasanam. As we immerse further in the science of Ashtanga Yoga, you will gradually move to a place where your postures, its movement and the awareness of breath find their perfect rhythm.

During this week of Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, Yogic Anatomy lessons will offer in-depth understanding of the internal and the external mechanism of the body and to ensure that you perform each posture without sustaining any injuries. 

The Yogic Philosophy in this week will take you through the study of various sutras ofPatanjali Yoga Sutras. An insight on the real meaning and understanding of the yamas (what not to do) and niyamas(what to do), asanas (physical practice), pranayama (breathing exercises), pratyahara (withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (union with God).

Week 3

Vinyasa flow is the major form that we practice in the 3rd week of this intensive yoga program. Vinyasa word is taken from Sanskrit words ‘Vi’ and ‘Nyasa’ which means ‘Variation’ and ‘Within a conscious parameters.’ These classes enables you to apply and experience different methods to make your flow safe and creative in each transition.

You will also explore various forms of pranayama to strengthen your breathing, and meditations to help you establish a connection with the inner spirit and put you on the path of spiritual awakening.

Week 4

As we move to the 4th Week of our 200 Hour YTTC in Goa, we focus on Yin Yoga. Until now a lot has been done on the muscle health, Yin yoga allows us to target the deep connective tissues to give utmost relaxation. With the regular understanding of your body through yoga anatomy, you will be able to focus on improving and healing various regions of your body during this slow and meditative form of yoga asana practices.

We also walk through the final chapters of Yogic Philosophy, Philosophy, Meditation, Mantras and Shat Kriyas.

Finally, you will reach the final phase of finishing theTeaching Methodology classes for 200 Hour YTT. By now, you will be able to design your own Sequences and gain the confident voice of an expert Yoga Teacher.
