Deepening your Own Practice

Stillness. Silence. Self-Discovery: A Retreat for the Soul

Let the outer world pause, so your inner world can rise.

In the hush between breaths, something sacred begins to stir. At India Yogashala, this retreat is not an escape—it’s a return. A return to presence, to peace, to the quiet truth that’s always lived within you. Through ancient practices of meditation, mantra, and mindful silence, we invite you to walk the inward path—to meet your soul with open eyes and an open heart.

Spiritual Retreat Highlights

Each day is a quiet unfolding—a journey inward, a return to the self.

A Soulful Daily Flow

We begin with stillness, move through breath and body in gentle yoga, listen deeply to spiritual teachings, and close with reflective journaling. Every moment invites you into presence.

Deep Inner Practices

This retreat centres the subtle work—mantra, silence, and pratyahara, the art of turning your senses inward. Here, the outer world fades so your inner world can speak.

Tools for Lasting Spiritual Growth

We offer practices you can carry home—simple, powerful tools to support your daily connection with the sacred long after the retreat ends.

Optional Digital Detox & Mauna (Silence)

Choose to unplug and drop into silence. Whether for a few hours or a full day, our space lovingly supports your practice of mauna—where true listening begins.

Lifetime experience! The teachers, space and intentions are perfect. I have learned a lot and felt well trained to become a Yoga Teacher. All along, the teachers took care of the students and we never miss anything. I highly recommend this school in Goa, in nature. The food is delicious and abundant and rooms are very comfortable! It felt like home. The group became family. Memorable experience!

Praveen & Shiva are excellent yoga instructors, supported by others it makes a fantastic team. Second best way to learn something is to take a course, best way is to teach one. Here they teach you how to teach so its quite cool. Plus Rinku makes really nice food & the beach is nearby. The AC accomodations are about next door to the ashram and Grishma Desai is a superb Ayurveda expert. Worth it!

The 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training here was wonderful. We had amazing alignment classes with Santosh, fun and great Ashtanga classes with Praveen, who also took care of all our needs in a friendly, professional and caring way, and the Ayurveda course with Dr. Grishma was so interesting! There was also morning meditation on the rocks, included dolphin excursion and Indian cooking class with our friendly chef... I would go back in a heartbeat to Agonda and to the school and I can only recommend it 🙂
